Software for the Oil and Gas Industry
CAMO software products like The Unscrambler® have wide application in the Oil and Gas industry. This product offers companies the means to construct and deploy discriminant and quantitative prediction models rapidly. The models are also extremely easy to work with, cutting down on the learning curve needed to be able to manipulate them.
The Unscrambler® helps:
- Classify fuel according to type and to correlate physical parameters such as Density, Flash Point, Naphthalene’s, Aromatics and the like.
- Find the relation of CO, NO and H2O vapor concentrations vs. engine condition, temperature.
- Replace the manual calculation of peak ratios from 2 or more selected peaks
- Determine the percent commingling in a mixed sample with direct analysis of the GC pattern of the mixed sample.
- Provide better spectral for classification model building.

Case Studies
Some instances of how The Unscrambler® has been used in different Oil and Gas industry segments are:
Remote m-IR measurements determine the proportion of CO, NO and H2O vapor concentrations for different engine conditions and at different temperatures.
The study required measuring high-resolution m-IR spectra at different temperatures and at several engine conditions from several different types of vehicles. Reference measurements of CO, NO, and H2O vapor were used for calibration and prediction.
